Mission Statement


The Artist Interview (TAI) is a monthly newspaper devoted to covering the arts in Ohio.

Our goal is to promote and give a voice to the artists in our community.

We are a volunteer run a paper for Artists of all kinds, for Collectors, Curators, Educators, Musicians, Filmmakers, Fashion Designers, Writers, and those who want to know about them!

Are you interested in giving your work more exposure? We are proud to announce a new, all encompassing art-focused newspaper, The Artist Interview.


This online paper is a run voluntarily for artist by artists. It will be a catalyst and sounding board to educate and expose your art form to a wider audience. Share in and learn more about the arts in Ohio like never before, we plan to document and interview artists by studio visits, review local theater, music, dance and publish your literary works. We plan to interview artists and art enthusiasts who are working in the field of art, passing on pertinent information that and can be essential to the advancement of your personal career.


There are many ways to become involved with The Artist Interview.1. Request an interview by emailing us. Don’t be shy. This can be done completely online in a Q&A format or by arranging a studio visit. (there is a waiting list)
2. Take part in an interview exchange. This is where one artist interviews another artist in turn. You can request a few starter questions from us or do it on your own. Each interview is published separately. (no waiting list)
3. Send in your poetry, short stories to be officially published. Including essays and thesis papers.
4. Send in your personal reviews of museums and shows you have seen. Tell us about you artistic travels and experiences.
5. Volunteer your time (short or long term)to become a part of our staff! We are looking for locals from Central Ohio to fill the following positions: Managing Editors, Editorial Assistants, (from central Ohio and beyond) Reporters and Photographers to cover the following main categories:
Visual Arts(2&3D), Literature, Performance Arts, Film, Music and Fashion.
6. We are also looking for a few Editorial Cartoonists.

Deadlines for each issue:-All works are due by the second Saturday of each month. Submit images as a jpeg file, name file title, written works attach in a word doc., there is no limited word count.


Artists who do not have any experience are gratefully encouraged to participate. Those who have experience, we would love to hear from you.
